I had a couple requests from people for me to update my wishlist for my birthday.
I have done so. I set it up a little differently this time. Ignore the Old Stuff section.

There are a few items that are not actually out yet, but I felt like being pro-active.
I posted a new video on Powet.TV reviewing Revenge of the Fall Voyager Class Starscream.
It was kind of rushed and its pretty obvious to tell where I had a script and where I was just rambling. Its not terrible, but its lacking something.
The toy itself is fun. Comparing it with the old one, it’s a better overall toy, but the old one has more play value, I think.
I just discovered that earlier this week marked the release of a recolored door poster by Jim Lee. Not just any door poster, mind you, but the door poster to end all door posters. This was one of many posters Jim Lee did when the second adjective-less X-Men book debuted in the 90’s featuring his artwork. I must find this, frame it, and mount it post haste. Now if only they would recolor and release the other posters he did from that time like the Magneto, Original X-Men, Things to Come and poolside posters!

It has been a topsy turvy past couple of weeks.
The weekend before last (May 28th – June 1st) was Botcon 2009 and the weekend before that was AnimeBoston 2009.
There is lots to catch up on and I will do my best of it.
This is actually my week for a Powet video. I will be covering the convention exclusives from Botcon, but its been really tight to put everything together so quickly after the convention.

Ok, we’re not really doing this weekly anymore, but I just cannot stop playing this game. I blame this mostly on Zac for showing this to me in the middle of a POWETcast, but its a damn good game. Its a strategy tower defense type game. More similar to Supreme Commander than Starcraft, in that you have to manage the growth of your energy reserves along with the mining capacity all while trying to fend of enemy pirate ships. Good stuff. I might recommend going through the tutorial since I just jumped right in and was pretty lost at first.

Happy Valentine’s Day, Brenna.
So Brenna is coming tomorrow and I never got around to blogging about her last visit. I figured this would be a good opportunity.
By parking, I mean violation.
I got a parking ticket last Saturday. Totally my fault. I knowingly parked in a Bus stop. I was just exhausted and didn’t want to carry anything too far, then got distracted and lost track of time. I forgot about the car and realized I had a ticket when someone came to pick me up to go out. Naturally I moved the car right away and paid the ticket within five days. I think it said I had 21. The cost of said ticket was 55 American Dollars. Pretty expensive. It was my fault though and the fines serve a purpose to remind us not to park where we are not supposed to since there are good reasons we shouldn’t be parking in those places.
Anyway, the Monday after I got the ticket, I came into work for the first work day of the new year. Very exciting. I kid.
I begin to read my daily Metro newspaper and what is on the second page, but an article going over proposals for parking ticket hikes. In this particular article, bus stop fines were specifically mentioned as going up from 55 to 100 American Dollars! This Boston.com article mentions that residential parking fines most likely won’t be affected. Thats nice to know since they are even lower than the bus stop fines at the bargain basement fee of 40 American Dollars.
I really need to get that residential parking sticker I just have not found time to get yet.
